Spas with wood fired heaters?

Unfortunately, hot tubs with wood fired heaters are not currently in stock at Apollo Spas. However, any of our hot tubs - available at eight locations in Washington and Idaho - can be converted to use alternate forms of heat.

Is a hot tub heater even necessary?

You might be shocked to learn that our energy efficient spas may not even require a heater. The trapped heat generated by the other electrical devices in your hot tub can keep your spa at 104 degrees even without a heater. Wooden hot tubs and wood fired heaters not a good match

Buyers beware! We have had some issues in the past with wooden hot tubs with wood fired heaters. The porous nature of the wood makes it very difficult to keep the hot tub free of bacteria. Once bacteria gets in the grain of the wood, it is very difficult to get it out. If you really want a wood fired heater, consider a Forever Flex cabinet, the stylish, carefree alternative to cedar that is available on 8' models of Arctic brand hot tubs.
