The AquaTremor sound system, available on Arctic Spas®, is truly revolutionary! State-of-the-art technology delivers crisp, theater-quality sound and the stimulating and soothing benefits of vibroacoustics, which is sound waves applied directly to your body. Vibroacoustics has been clinically proven to relieve muscle stress.
The AquaTremor sound system is, without a doubt, the best-designed stereo system for use in a hot tub! This is because it uses advanced tactile transducers, affixed directly to the spa's shell, to create the sound instead of relying on standard speakers. The exclusive Heatlock insulation system built into every Arctic Spa creates the ideal environment to transmit perfect stereo sound. Though the system contains more than enough power to wake your neighbors, the beauty is, you don't need to crank the volume because you can feel the sound while you are listening to it. So you can keep the sound low and stay on your neighbors' good side.
By eliminating speakers, we avoid having to use specialty speaker covers, which are expensive to replace and result in heat loss that costs you money. In addition, we spare you the inevitable servicing that invariably occurs when you expose standard speakers to steam and extreme temperatures.
The AquaTremor sound system uses a 300W amplifier and comes standard with hook-ups for your home stereo system or any portable device: cassette, CD, mini CD or MP3 player. An optional Magnadyne AM/FM/CD marine deck and spa side control is available for those who want a stand-alone system or we offer external outdoor speakers for backyard entertaining. All of the components of the AquaTremor sound system are housed within one specialized door of the spa, so the system can be added at time of purchase or anytime in the future!
The AquaTremor sound system has been developed to produce Sonic Massage, available exclusively on an Arctic Spa. Sonic Massage is a pioneering approach to hydrotherapy that adds a whole new dimension to the already numerous benefits soaking in a spa.
The highly specialized transducers installed on the shell of your Arctic Spa have been engineered to allow the entire structure to become a container for the transmission of sound waves. What you will hear - or rather feel through the water - are powerful low frequency tones in the range of 46 to 68 cycles per second. Utilizing a vibroacoustics effect, these specific low frequencies have been shown to help sooth and relax muscles and tissues throughout your body.
By making slight adjustments to the sound frequencies within this range, practitioners can target specific areas of the body for treatment.
Research has shown vibroacoustic applications can be divided into three main areas:
