Better hot tub filtration system
Pristine spa water - minimal effort
Our goal at Arctic has always been to keep your spa water as clean and safe as it can be, with as little of your time, effort and money spent as possible.
With the vast differences in usage, source water quality, climate and other factors, we realized our Arctic hot tub owners needed more filtration and purification technology options. So we’ve come up with several and are continually working to find new and better ways to keep your hot tub water sparkling clean and fresh.
Active skim filtration
Arctic Spas hot tubs use the Active Skim Filtration mechanism, which constantly adjusts to changing water levels in your tub to maintain powerful surface skimming. What this means is that contaminants at the surface are drawn down into the filter regardless of the water level. Larger particles are trapped in an integrated basket so they are sent back into the water with the bathers.
Some Arctic Spas models now come equipped with dual filter chambers so you can try different combinations of filter media to see what works best for you. Dual filter chambers are not available on the Arctic Fox or the Arctic Essentials hot tub models.
Silver Sentinel 1 Micron filters
As you might guess by their name, 1 micron filters trap particles as small as 1 micron in size. Silver Sentinel filters are made of layer upon layer of polypropylene – the same plastic used to make pop bottles – which makes them disposable and completely recyclable! No more cleaning gross filters and wasting money on de-foaming, clarifying filter cleaning chemicals. When your filter needs to be replaced, just toss it in the recycle bin and put in a new one. It’s that simple.
Because of the layers of polypropylene, Silver Sentinel filters have up to 900 sq. ft. of surface area with which to trap particles from the water. Plus, they are imbedded with a nano silver antimicrobial internal coating.
Compare this to typical pleated filter systems that only screen down to 60 microns, are only 50% efficient and require frequent rinsing, degreasing and replacement. In many cases, these pleated paper filters are just one component of an expensive multiple filter configuration. So... not only have we found a way to rid you of this nuisance, we had a filter developed that does a far better job of keeping your water clear and clean.
Microbial rescue filters
Keep a few of these simple, but effective, filters on hand to quickly rejuvenate your spa water after a period of high use or low maintenance. They are very affordable and can be rinsed and re-used.
Compact pleated filter with rescue filter
Combine the fine filtration of a compact pleated filter with the versatility of a reusable bag filter. The bag rescue filter can take care of the occasional high debris times, allowing the pleated filter to last longer between replacements.
More control means cleaner water
Filtration cycles and circulation pumps can now live together in harmony. Arctic Spas hot tubs now come standard with an adjustable filter cycle system that is programmable from one to 24 hours of run time. Ask your Apollo Spas hot tub dealer for more information on filter systems and how you can find the right combination for your family’s spa.
