Apollo Spas Hot tubs Are Stronger - Its all about the shell

The basis of any quality spa is the strength of the shell, and in an Apollo Spa we are using some of the most modern shell building technologies in the industry to provide that strength. The shell construction begins with Premium Lucite Acrylic – the world leader in cast acrylic. All of the acrylic used in Apollo Spas is impregnated with MicrobanTM for an additional layer of anti-bacterial protection. Bonded with special resins to the acrylic layer is the ABS backing layer which provides considerable stiffening and strengthening. Sprayed on the back of the ABS layer is our proprietary composite material called Elastocast. This product is styrene- free and reduces 99.9% of the harmful air emissions that are produced by most of our competitor’s foam insulation. As well as providing yet another layer of strength, and unlike other shell foam-backing products, the Elastocast layer allows for heat transfer. This attribute is key as it allows your Apollo Spa to reabsorb the waste heat generated by the spa motors, ultimately making your Apollo Spa significantly more efficient.
